James Tran is a professional Stage Manager, Digital Content Creator, and Projections Designer based in Southern California. He graduated from Chapman University in 2023 with a B.A. in Theatre Technology and a B.S. in Computer Science.

He is currently a Resident Artist with a Video Design emphasis at the award-winning theater company, Chance Theater in Anaheim, CA. His work at the chance includes Striking Twelve (Projections Designer) and Some Good News O.C. (Director and Video Editor). In addition, he has also stage managed the recurring seasonal show Fancy Nancy: Splendiferous Christmas and has done so since its debut.

In his four years at Chapman University, he has worked as a Stage Manager and Video Designer. His work at Chapman includes Zanna Don't! (Stage Manager), The Theory of Relativity (Stage Manager), The Henry Kemp-Blair Shakespeare Festival (Video Designer), and 9 to 5 (Assistant Stage Manager).

Outside of theatre and live entertainment, James is a software engineer, magician, and online content creator.

James' mission is to utilize his technical prowess to showcase his immense creative spirit in all of his work.
